Transformative Student Voice
We (Transformative Student Voice; TSV) design and sustain systemic opportunities for marginalized students to lead social change in their schools and communities.
When young people, particularly those most disadvantaged by inequity, create and participate in efforts to improve their schools, not only do they benefit but their educational institutions get stronger and more developmentally and culturally responsive.
TSV is currently engaging in:
Research-funded observations of classrooms in two Colorado sites
Research-funded development of curricular materials to help teachers and facilitators guide interpersonal research with students
Research-funded creation of a descriptive assessment focused on the assets of activism and leadership
